Cover of Love: a novel of grief and desire.

There comes a time in the life of every storyteller when they should give away 100 copies of their novel--for free!--to get your attention. That time is now (well, technically its later this week.) My publisher, Black Rose Writing, is working with the folks over at Goodreads to give away one hundred Kindle editions of Love: a novel of grief and desire.

For those of you who don't know Goodreads is a website devoted to books. Readers come together to set reading goals, share reviews on the books they've read and generally stay in touch with all things bookish. It is a great way to find new books and authors who write in genres and subjects that you enjoy reading. It is free to become a member and members get special benefits, including be able to enter drawings for free books.

The giveaway begins February 20 (at 12am if you are a night owl) and runs through March 20th (if you are a procrastinator.) You can enter the drawing at the link below beginning February 20th. When the contest is over the winners will be notified and the book delivered to their library.

Love is the story of Ed Gideon and his two college-age daughters, Becca and Sandy, as they deal with the loss of their wife and mother to a drunk driver. Their recover is complicated when Ed meets Bobbi Love, the fifteen-year-old daughter of the woman who killed his wife. Reviewers have called Love "bold and perceptive...", "a poignant exploration of love, grief and loss..." and "a masterpiece."

Share news of this giveaway with your friends and family who love to read. You can enter the giveaway at the link below, beginning February 20th.

If you live in Antarctica, don't miss the Ring of Fire eclipse that happens tomorrow! Tomorrow is the new moon, but I think they've misnamed the experience. Since it is the opposite of a full moon, I am committed to calling it the 'empty moon.' So be sure to enjoy your empty moon February 17th (just three days before you can enter to win one of 100 copies of Love: a novel of grief and desire.)
